Corkboard is a Windows application written in C#.  Its purpose is to help you collect your reference materials into one place, and be able to easily save them and quickly load them later.  It is currently in the prototype phase of development.

HOW TO USE:

Corkboard works by dragging picture files (.png, .jpg, .bmp, etc) from your hard drive, and onto the grey workspace area.

Clicking on an image inside of the program brings it to the front.  You can adjust whether a picture is on top or behind other pictures by clicking on the  "^" or "v" buttons respectively. Pressing the "X" button will remove a picture from your project.

You can resize pictures by clicking on the grey border of a picture, and adjusting its size.  Saving a project will save the picture's size and position on the screen.

Roadmap:

Features intended for future development (No guarantees):

  • Recent Projects list in File menu
  • Save Files to preserve Sort Order of pictures
  • Menu option to automatically Tile pictures in workspace
  • Default max size for pictures added to workspace
  • Save option won't ask for name of file if you've saved at least once before, or opened an existing project
  • Make everything look nicer
  • ...and more!

- Cost of Corkboard over Development Cycle -

$0 Purchase Point (Donations accepted!):

  • Corkboard is in Prototype stage.  Basic functionality is still being developed.  Save files are not guaranteed to be portable between versions, and bugs may be prevalent.

$5 Purchase Point:

  • Corkboard enters Alpha.  Basic functionality has been established.  Majority of features are still being worked on.

$10 Purchase Point:

  • Corkboard enters Beta.  Majority of features have been established, but may still be buggy

$20 Purchase Point:

  • Features for Corkboard have been fleshed out. Corkboard leaves Beta and enters Release Candidacy and eventual full release.

Known Issues:

Dragging and Dropping pictures from Discord or a Web Browser will "work", but saving a project with one of these pictures will "corrupt" the save file- That is, those pictures specifically will not save correctly, but the database will assume they had been saved correctly, making these projects impossible to reopen.  The working pictures will still be available in the .zip project file.  You can extract them and load them into a new project as a workaround.

Changelog:

2021-08-08:

  • Added a custom icon to the .exe
  • Added the ability to Drag & Drop pictures from other programs (e.g. web browser, discord)-  But it's buggy and not recommended for use in projects you wish to save for future use.  I recommend saving the files to disk first, then dropping them in normally
